Fischer & Company Negotiates Springfield, MO Build-To-Suit for Freight Services Company

Fischer & Company announced an agreement with a leading U.S. provider of next- and second-day regional, LTL freight services to locate, select and manage transportation negotiations for a new 50 acre hub facility.  

The new facility was built to accommodate growth in their Midwestern Region. “Our team conducted an extensive market study to determine the sites that would provide the optimal location , development cost, zoning and stem time were the key factors of the site selection,” stated Michael Bauer, Executive Vice President with Fischer & Company.

Working closely with local authorities, Fischer & Company assembled two land parcels, annexed and rezoned the property and successfully petitioned to remove an existing restriction which allowed non-manufacturing use of the site. “We also secured the city’s commitment to extend the existing road and  the installation of a traffic signal near the new facility,” Mr. Bauer further stated.

The Build-to-Suit project resulted in a 150+ door cross-dock facility with maintenance and fuel capabilities and yielded more than $8 million in savings.
